E cig industry standards

By John Wiesehan, Jr., CEO of Mistic® Electronic Cigarettes

As the public comment period has closed for the FDA’s proposed deeming regulations regarding the manufacturing and marketing of electronic cigarettes, we now await the agency’s final rule that will eventually regulate our ever-growing vapor industry.

While it may take some time before a final rule actually goes into effect, some electronic cigarette makers like Mistic have called for a science-based regulatory framework, which we believe is essential to helping the e cig industry move forward.

Mistic has always strived for corporate excellence in the manufacturing and marketing of our e cig and vapor products. In fact, we have already taken many of the steps that would be required under the deeming process, such as including warnings about underage usage and nicotine use.

We take pride in the fact that all of our e liquid is produced in the U.S., including the bottling and filling of our HAUS™ branded e-liquids. We even took it a step further by moving our e cigarette production to the United States from China, making Mistic and HAUS two of the first American e cigarette brands to be fully assembled and packaged in the U.S. on a national scale.

This strategic move not only further strengthens our world-class supply chain management operations, it creates additional U.S. jobs. It also can serve as an important quality standard for our growing industry and the manufacturing and assembly of electronic cigarettes and vapor products.
